This course prepares you for the ABRSM Level 1 Award in Music Theory (Grade 3) exam and associated qualification.
In this course, you will build on and further your knowledge of music theory. You will be introduced to the demisemiquaver, music starting on an upbeat, duple, triple and quadruple time, simple and compound time, three new time signatures, notes on three ledger lines, transposition (by one octave), more keys and scales, basic intervals and more tonic triads. You will also become familiar with more terms and signs in common use.
