Course description

In this course you will learn how to write a Baroque-style fugue from scratch, starting with the introduction of the subject in the exposition, progressing through the development, containing middle entries and episodes, ending with the final statement of the theme.

A knowledge of intermediate harmony, music theory and counterpoint is a prerequisite for this course.

Instructor

Your instructor for this course is Anthony Daly ARCO ATCL. Anthony studied music at Trinity Laban, then at the University of Cambridge. In 2013, he qualified as an Associate of the Royal College of Organists winning three prizes for high achievement. Anthony has recorded for Classic FM and performed live on BBC Radio 4.
