Course description
Species counterpoint is a framework for the addition of a melody above or below a cantus firmus, a 'fixed' or 'firm line'. In species counterpoint, there are five species with each one gradually more involved and complex than the last. By the end of the course you will be able to write counterpoint against a cantus firmus.
